Rotary clubs of SOMA and Bayview, SFPD, Veterans, Lions … This award winning project is made possible by partnering with the San Francisco Police Department, SOMA Rotary Club, S.F. Sat, Nov 17, 2018, 9:00 AM: We will be handing out bikes for our veterans, hosting a BBQ for them and then there will be a volunteer luncheon to celebrate our success. In addition I have been able to purchase a bike repair stand, a 12x12 popup tent, some tools, bike parts and safety equipment. The 7th Annual bicycle giveaway for 100 qualified and needy Veterans is on Saturday, November 17, 2018 and we need help to fund helmets, locks, and lights for each recipient.
The project brought together an entire community to help our deserving veterans. 100 bikes were provided to deserving veterans who were selected by the Veterans Association of San Francisco and the Veterans Lions Clubs. With the help of many of you I have been able to donate about 500 bikes to this project. As many of you know, I have been working with vets who lack transportation.
